Alison McCauley is a photographer who is currently based in Singapore.  Her approach to the people and locations she photographs is exploratory, questioning, open-ended and subjective.

 

Alison has a visual arts background and holds degrees from the University of Southampton, the Haute Ecole d’Art et de Design in Geneva and the Open College of the Arts.  In 2016 Alison had a book and a zine published.  The book documents the lives of asylum seekers in Geneva.  The zine, published by Antler Press, contains a subjective series of images from an on-going personal project.  Alison has had solo exhibitions in France and Switzerland and group exhibitions in the US, UK, France, Switzerland and Georgia.  Her photographs have been published by Al Jazeera, BBC News in Pictures, France 24, Courrier International, The Daily Mail, The Houston Chronicle, BLink - The Hindu Business Line, advocate.com, Foto 8, Life Force Magazine, Photo District News and The Telegraph, among others.
